Class Policies
The following policies will be enforced for class sessions.
- Class will begin promptly at the posted time. Attendance is not recorded but your membership dues allow you to attend one class session per week.
- You should regularly attend your assigned class session since steps and choreographies may vary between classes.
- Studio will be closed and locked promptly 10 minutes after class is scheduled to end. Classes are 50 min to allow time for cool down, stretching, and pickup.
- Share the driveway and be polite.
- No public restroom facilities are available at the studio.
- Irish dance can be a highly strenuous activity so please dress appropriately. Hair should be pulled back, supportive tennis shoes or Irish dance shoes should be worn at all times, shoulders and midriffs should be covered (we recommend the studio t-shirt), leggings or shorts (no jeans or loose-fitting pants).
- Always bring a full water bottle. The studio has no plumbing.
- Cooperate with the club instructors.
Shoes
We are currently teaching beginner levels which will allow for tennis shoes to be used. However, as we get into more advanced footwork, we will require better footwear. The following sites are places where you can find Irish dance shoes.
- Amazon.com - Inexpensive options are available here but we cannot vouch for quality.
- Rutherfordshoes.com - Quality shoes are available
